Criterios de Realidade e Outros Ensaio

Claudio F. Costa

This book deals innovatively with some fundamental philosophical problems, like those of the reality of the external world, skepticism, free will, other minds, personal identity, and of the meaning of life. Due to the clear and non-technical character of its papers, this book can also be read by students aiming to be introduced in these problems.

The author made his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Konstanz, Germany, and post-doctorates in Berkeley and Oxford. His published work in English includes the book The Philosophical Inquiry: Towards a Global Account (UPA 2002), and the papers “Free Will and the Soft Constraints of Reason” (Ratio 2006) and “A Perspectival Definition of Knowledge” (Ratio 2010).
